It is the responsibility of the Louisiana Compliance Office to maintain a determined commitment to the letter and the spirit of NCAA, Sun Belt Conference, and University regulations and policies. Additionally, it is the charge of the Compliance Office to do all things necessary to effectively ensure its commitment to the principles of fair play by all coaches, athletic department staff, student-athletes, alumni, fans, and boosters.
Louisiana, as an NCAA member institution, is responsible for applying and enforcing the legislation set forth by the NCAA regarding basic athletic issues such as admissions, financial aid, eligibility, recruiting, and amateurism. All staff members, student-athletes, and other individuals or groups representing the Ragin' Cajuns Athletic Department must work together to effectively ensure compliance as it is a shared responsibility.
An important aspect of NCAA Compliance is self-reporting rules violations. Self-reporting is considered to reflect a solid program of institutional control. Any self-reported violations may be reported to the Athletics Compliance Office.
