Prospective Student-Athletes

If you aspire to be a student-athlete at UL or any other NCAA institution - or you are the parent of a child who hopes to do so - there are several things that you should know regarding NCAA eligibility requirements and the recruiting process. A great deal of this important information is explained in the Guide for the College-Bound Student-Athlete.

Every college-bound student-athlete who is attending an NCAA Division I institution full-time for the first time must be certified academically and as an amateur by the NCAA Eligibility Center. Prospective student-athletes should register at the beginning of their junior year in high school and can do so by clicking here. For a list of items that prospects should have prepared prior to registering with the Eligibility center, click here.

All SAT and ACT scores must be reported to the Eligibility Center directly from the testing agency. When registering for the SAT or ACT, prospects should input the code 9999 to make sure that the score is reported directly to the Eligibility Center. To have test scores reported to UL as well, prospects should input the code 6672 (SAT) or 1612 (ACT).
